Frequently Asked Questions

How many preschool classrooms will be available?
With our current programming, we offer a 5 day full day program, 3 day full day program, and 5 half day program for students ages 3-5.

Is there a cap on the number of students you will be accepting?
We keep our adult to student ratio at or under 12:1.

Do you provide transportation from home or to local daycare centers?
At this time, we do not provide transportation.

Will meal service be provided?
Full day students will be given time each day they are at school for lunch. Students may buy hot lunch from our cafeteria (at your cost) or bring their lunch to school if preferred.

Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes.  Students must be potty trained upon the start of the school year.   School personnel will not be able to enter the restroom to assist your child.  We do understand that accidents happen, so we will require that a change of clothes is kept at school in case this does occur.

How do I make payments for this program?
All payments will be made to the MSD of Boone Township.  Payment must be made by auto-debit of a checking or saving account.  More information on this process will be provided when you are able to fully register your child.

When will I learn that my child can fully enroll in the Little Hawks Academy?
You can consider your child fully enrolled in Little Hawks Academy upon return of your child’s enrollment packet, birth certificate, immunization record, and payment of the $65.00 non-refundable supply fee.

Are there immunization requirements for my child to start Preschool?
We strongly encourage you to have your child’s immunizations up-to-date. The State of Indiana requires all incoming kindergarten students to be immunized.  Parents that object to immunizations for religious or health reasons must complete an immunization waiver (available in the elementary office).  Please click here to view the 2024-2025 Required and Recommended School Immunizations from the Indiana State Department of Health.
